Pigging Out

There's something about this Vienna that's really all about "high culture". Maybe it's the profusion of castles and the museums, but I think it's the way people really feel here. It seems like a culture-orgy kind of town.

Schonbrunn Palace, for instance, is not normal. You can go on a tour that leaves your jaw dropped: elegance, opulance and scope. And when you leave, it dawns on you that there were still 1400 more rooms in the joint they DIDN'T show you. (Don't you want to sneak in and see those?)

We celebrated our Royal Daze by heading up to the mountains just out of town for a peasant's feast at a Heuriger, a local winery where the fare is simple, the wine comes in pitchers and the company... well, it's always great to be with friends. Larry and Klaudia have been treating us more like kings than commoners. We've made some new friends here. And now that Mike, Sharon, Dylan and Cody are in the house, the party is officially on.

I even think I'm starting to blend in. Ya think?
